Most people have had a meaningful encounter with a stranger. These are usually out-of-the-blue (and sometimes jarring) interactions that come to take on special meaning for at least one of the people involved. The Meaningful Encounters with Strangers Preservation and Reenactment Initiative (MEWS-PARI) has as its goal the preservation and study of such encounters.
To pursue this goal, the Initiative uses two distinct approaches:
1. the documentation of stories, as they are told by Preservation Assistants like yourself; and
2. the study of these stories, through analysis and reenactment.
All are welcome to join the Initiative. To participate, volunteer Preservation Assistants can either:
1. send us a story; or
2. reenact an existing story of their liking from the Initiative's Archives.
Or they can do both.
