Relabel is a social design project in the scope of the culture of consumerism. It focuses on the individual and the values implicit in the act of consumption.

On bringing the concepts of culture and consumerism together, the latter is no longer simply one of producing, buying and using, but becomes a symbolic system in which culture manifests its principles, ideas, values and above all identities.

The project is divided into four phases intended to represent the various moments in the cycle of consumerism which are interlinked and construct a critical and creative discourse about the consumer’s experience.

On becoming aware of this process, the consumer and the designer have the opportunity for reflection on the relation between consumerism and  design, giving rise to new approaches in response to the models of current consumption.
