SocialDesignSite.com is the fruit of many people's visions and
investment. In different ways and at different times, they all
contributed to building this platform to where it is today. Most of
them are no longer actively working on the project, but we still
consider them to be team members:
PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Suk-Han Tang
Suk-Han studied in London and graduated from Ravensbourne College of
Design and Communication where she earned a degree in Product and
Furniture Design having focused her studies and developed products in
the field of sustainable design. She joined the project in January 2007
as a researcher and designer. She's responsible for the strategic
development of the project, and is as well working as a researcher and
consultant with the Systemic Excellence Group , Independant think Tank for leading practice in Berlin.

Anni Andrag
Anni Andrag is 22 years of age, and has joined the Systemic
Excellence Group in January 2009. She studied at the University of Stellenbosch at the
Centre for Knowledge Development and Decision-making, where she
obtained her BA (Value and Policy Studies) Degree. This is where her
initial interest in social design started. She completed a four week
internship at the Systemic Excellence Group in Berlin in June 2007.

Glória Costa
Glória studied Communication Design at the Faculty of Fine Arts at
Lisbon University. Throughout her academic career she expressed a great
interest in video, photography and editorial design. She gained
experience in the field of design by directing photographic projects,
short films and editing a magazine. Previous to joining the
SocialDesignSite, she worked as a graphic designer in Lisbon.
Glória
came from Portugal and joined the SocialDesignSite in January 2009 as
an intern, working as a researcher and a designer. She is now gaining a great interest in the Systemic Thinking. She is also
participating in the JPoX project.

RESEARCH
Joana Bértholo
Joana pursued her studies in Communication Design in the Fine Arts
Faculty at the University of Lisbon, where she focused on multimedia,
videographyand photography. She worked as a graphic designer and a
photographer,but her main focus has always been in research and
writing. Joana joined the SocialDesignSite in June 2007 as an intern,
integrating the team that redesigned the platform and made it into the
collaborative participatory project it is today. She is currently based
in Lisbon,Portugal, researching new social design projects, preparing
our upcoming blog, and getting ready to join a social project in Buenos Aires , Argentina.

Magalie Pedrono
Magalie studied product design in L'école de Design Nantes Atlantique, and holds Master in Management of innovation projects and entrepreneurship. During her studies, she developed a strong interest for social design and more especially for strategic design for sustainability and social innovation. She also started to practise in writing and communication design, and wanted to take part in the SocialDesignSite to have the opportunity to mix all her interests in the same venture. She is currently doing a research on Social Design tools and future trends observing the projects on SocialDesignSite, and is also responsible for the social networking of the project.

Silke Astrid Eisenbeiß
Silke holds a PhD in politics and strategic management from the University of Konstanz and the Erasmus University Rotterdam and a Master in organizational psychology from the University of Mannheim. Her work experience includes the United Nations Headquarter in New York, the German Parliament, strategic management consultancies in China and Germany as well as a development agency in South Africa. Due to her dedication to development and her passion for social design she volunteers for the SocialDesignSite.
Violetta Pleshakova

Calderón Scheel studied international business with a major in regional studies
of Latin America in Germany and Brazil. But he´s always wanted to be a
designer! Social Design Site has given him the opportunity to combine his
passion of social awareness with having a better designed world. He´s currently
doing research on project management and intercultural complexity, this having
been the story of his life because of his international background, being born
in Guatemala, but feeling at home in Berlin.

Mariana Eggers
Mariana Eggers was born in Venezuela. She decided to study Graphic Design thinking that she could fusion so many cultures in some way having that tool. She just graduated as a Graphic Designer at Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan with a thesis project about The importance of an efficient info-graphic system to help mothers with illiteracy problems raise their children and avoid malnutrition problems (case study India). She is currently based in Amsterdam working as an intern at Mijksenaar studio and besides volunteers for the SocialDesignSite because she belives we have the power to change the world.

Nora Vargas
Nora was born in El Salvador. She studied graphic design at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan, Italy. Before going abroad, she did the International Baccalaureate in El Salvador, having Art and Geography as her major subjects. Throughout her academic career in Milan, she developed a great interest in social design focusing on social communication. Her final dissertation was an innovation project that seek to aid the children orphaned by AIDS in Mozambique. Currently she is gaining an immense interest in innovation projects, design processes and design research. She is currently doing an internship at Lodown magazine in Berlin and has started to collaborate with the SocialDesignSite.

Molly Fried
Molly graduated from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. in May 2009, where she studied world religion, concentrating in Judaism. Studying religion at a diverse university in one of the political hubs of the world furthered her interest in developing interfaith programs. She has experience in interfaith program managing, conflict resolution and as an interfaith dialogue facilitator. She moved to Berlin in September 2009 to work for an international Jewish organization as their first fellow to serve in Germany. Throughout the year, she will help develop and create cultural programs for Jews living in Berlin, mainly to address the large foreign population from Russia and Israel. Because of her interest in community organizing and program managing, she joined SocialDesignSite in November 2009 as a volunteer. Molly@SocialDesignSite.com
Daniela Ripp
Daniela completed her studies in “Diplom-Pädagogik”(comparable with
a Master of International Social Work) at the University of Trier in
January 2009. During her studies she gained knowledge on a theoretical
level in the fields of Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs), Lobbying
and the Civil Society and social sector. For the purpose of her final
thesis she conducted a qualitative-empirical research study about
lobbying of NGOs towards the European Commision. In March 2009 she joined the Systemic Excellence Group in support of
the Next Practice NGO – Study. Due to her knowledge of the social field
and her interest in the social sector, she decided to participate and
become a volunteer of the SocialDesignSite.

TECHNICAL TEAM
Christof Höfler
Christof Höfler is a Berlin-based freelancer specialised in software-development and delivers consultancy for web-based projects. He is the initiator of befish.com - a network of experts for digital communication and new medias.
He programmed the website in 2007 and is still currently supporting all technical realted issues.
