SocialDesignSite.com is the fruit of many people's visions and
investment. In different ways and at different times, they all
contributed to building this platform to where it is today. Most of
them are no longer actively working on the project, but we still
consider them to be team members:
PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Suk-Han Tang
Suk-Han studied in London and graduated from Ravensbourne College of
Design and Communication where she earned a degree in Product and
Furniture Design having focused her studies and developed products in
the field of sustainable design. She joined the project in January 2007
as a researcher and designer. She's responsible for the strategic
development of the project, and is as well working as a researcher and
consultant with the Systemic Excellence Group , Independant think Tank for leading practice in Berlin.

EDITING

Anni Andrag
Anni Andrag is 22 years of age, and has joined the Systemic
Excellence Group in January 2009. She studied at the University of Stellenbosch at the
Centre for Knowledge Development and Decision-making, where she
obtained her BA (Value and Policy Studies) Degree. This is where her
initial interest in social design started. She completed a four week
internship at the Systemic Excellence Group in Berlin in June 2007.

Glória Costa
Glória studied Communication Design at the Faculty of Fine Arts at
Lisbon University. Throughout her academic career she expressed a great
interest in video, photography and editorial design. She gained
experience in the field of design by directing photographic projects,
short films and editing a magazine. Previous to joining the
SocialDesignSite, she worked as a graphic designer in Lisbon.
Glória
came from Portugal and joined the SocialDesignSite in January 2009 as
an intern, working as a researcher and a designer. She is now gaining a great interest in the Systemic Thinking. She is also
participating in the JPoX project.

RESEARCH
Joana Bértholo
Joana pursued her studies in Communication Design in the Fine Arts
Faculty at the University of Lisbon, where she focused on multimedia,
videographyand photography. She worked as a graphic designer and a
photographer,but her main focus has always been in research and
writing. Joana joined the SocialDesignSite in June 2007 as an intern,
integrating the team that redesigned the platform and made it into the
collaborative participatory project it is today. She is currently based
in Lisbon,Portugal, researching new social design projects, preparing
our upcoming blog, and getting ready to join a social project in Buenos Aires , Argentina.

Kate Andrews
Kate is a socially engaged design writer and consultant based in the
UK. Since graduating with a First Class Honours in Graphic Design,Kate
has worked with a number of clients including: Inhabitat, Greengaged, Thomas Matthews,The Real Work Experience, Thinkpublic, Three Trees Don't Make a Forest and Design21.
An avid blogger and user of social media, Kate ispassionate for the
power that Communication Design has to impact social change. Kate has
recently been accepted as a Fellow of TheRoyal Society of Arts (RSA)
and is currently undertaking her Masters Degree in Design Writing
Criticism at London College of Communication.

Magalie Pedrono
Magalie studied product design in L'école de Design Nantes Atlantique, and holds Master in Management of innovation projects and entrepreneurship. During her studies, she developed a strong interest for social design and more especially for strategic design for sustainability and social innovation. She also started to practise in writing and communication design, and wanted to take part in the SocialDesignSite to have the opportunity to mix all her interests in the same venture. She is currently doing a research on Social Design tools and future trends observing the projects on SocialDesignSite, and is also responsible for the social networking of the project.

Silke Astrid Eisenbeiß
Silke holds a PhD in politics and strategic management from the University of Konstanz and the Erasmus University Rotterdam and a Master in organizational psychology from the University of Mannheim. Her work experience includes the United Nations Headquarter in New York, the German Parliament, strategic management consultancies in China and Germany as well as a development agency in South Africa. Due to her dedication to development and her passion for social design she volunteers for the SocialDesignSite.
NGO ADVISER
Daniela Ripp
Daniela completed her studies in “Diplom-Pädagogik”(comparable with
a Master of International Social Work) at the University of Trier in
January 2009. During her studies she gained knowledge on a theoretical
level in the fields of Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs), Lobbying
and the Civil Society and social sector. For the purpose of her final
thesis she conducted a qualitative-empirical research study about
lobbying of NGOs towards the European Commision. In March 2009 she joined the Systemic Excellence Group in support of
the Next Practice NGO – Study. Due to her knowledge of the social field
and her interest in the social sector, she decided to participate and
become a volunteer of the SocialDesignSite.

Thomas Paalson & Dr. Louis Klein
Thomas and Louis were the initiators of this project, as a knowledge project of the Systemic Excellence Group .
Thomas Pålsson is a visual communication designer, and a
graduate from Danmarks Designskole, Copenhagen, Denmark 2007. Thomas'
work revolves around social design, both on a theoretical and practical
level. Having completed a number of social design projects, Thomas
became a key player in the conceptual development and initiation of the
SocialDesignSite project in 2006. Thomas Pålsson continues to do
research within the bubbling field of social design, while also
initiating new social design projects in Denmark and elsewhere.
Dr. Louis Klein is working as an international management
consultant. He is owner manager of the Systemic Excellence Group. Dr.
Klein is a member of the German Society for Political Consulting. His
main interest is Organisational Excellence. He earned his Degree in
Economics (Dipl. Ökonom); PhD in Sociology (Dr. rer. soc.) As a
researcher, Dr. Klein is a member of the Society for Sociocybernetics,
the International Sociological Association [ISA], and the International
Society for the System Science [ISSS]. Currently, he is conducting
research on the socio-technological performance of post-modern
organisations. The second edition of his book "Corporate Consulting“
has just been published by Carl Auer.
Jan Lachenmayer
Jan is a graduate of Stuttgart University, where he earned his master's
degree in Political Science, majoring in macroeconomics and human
resource management. There he also achieved the "Certificate for
Intercultural Communicative Competence". Jan was one of the initial
promoters and developers of the SocialDesignSite, and helped make the
first event at the DesignMai 07 come true.
Aneta Nowobilska
Aneta finished her studies at Poznan University of Economics in Poland
in electronic business focussing in her master paper on online
communities. Now she is a student of Humboldt University in Berlin
where she continues her education in information technologies. She
supported SocialDesignSite in development of functionalities of the
platform and by organization of marketing activities aiming at
community creation.
Sandra Vinh
Sandra grew up in California. Before moving to Berlin, she lived in
London to pursue studies at King’s College London in Human Values and
Global Ethics. Her final topic was on gender equality issues in
Thailand. She assisted the SocialDesignSite as an editor, in 2007.
Errol Bailey
Errol, a native of the UK, pursued his studies at the University of
Surrey, Roehampton in Sociology and Spanish. He joined the
SocialDesignSite in September 2007 as a researcher in 2007 and is
currently in charge of editing.
Christin Albert
Christin studied Media Design and Art at Bauhaus University of Weimar
specialised in modes, trends and public appearances. She focuses her
work as a freelance graphic designer in conceptualization and visual
communication. Christin joined the SocialDesignSite in September 2007
supporting for public relations in Germany.
Philip Bucknall
Philip studied Industrial Design in England(BA)and Sweden(MA) focussed
on research based projects in Gerontology/UniversalDesign and Mass
Customisation and worked as an industrial designer inConsumer
electronics. He assisted in the event field during the summer 2008.
Dina Said
Dina studied Greek and Latin studies inCairo (Egypt), she's experienced
in writing and researching and workedas executive assistant in the
Cultural Center for Egyptian traditionalmusic in Cairo. She took an
international trainee programin Berlin researchin in the Cross Cultural
field and helped us settingup the Film Festival event last Autumn.
