Artism is an independent organisation aiming to create a book bursting with artists/graphic designers work which will be sold to raise money for the National Autistic Society charity through the use of Art.

What is Autism?

Autism is a life long condition, and a widely ignored disability, It effects education, social interaction, employment life skills and sometimes health. Many Autistic people have problems surviving the world we live in, as they have little or no understanding of social rules, relationships, facial experssions and common everyday sayings that most of us are familiar with. Because of all of these factors they often become misunderstood and isolated from society. Usually they live in supported housing projects, or live isolated within their own autistic patterns. Many Austic people do not have jobs or structure to within their lives. It is now time to raise awareness of this condition, by giving them opportunities in which most of us will take for granted on a day to day basis.
