The cloud pavilion (in Budapest, Hungary) is a mobile outdoor pavilion which needs low energy for transport, installation and operation and is eligible for raising the public’s attention toward environmental and climatic issues.

Jövőház Nonprofit Co. is based in Budapest, Hungary aiming to promote renewable energy sources and eco-friendly building technologies.

The cloud pavillion was their latest development and design. The cloud pavilion was completed in July 2007. Its gross floorspace is ca. 100 sqm, height ca. 6 m and due to its inflatable structure it can be installed within 24 hours. Its operation is supported by solar energy equipments.

During the last 12 month test period the pavilion was performed at four different places in Budapest, taking part in artistic and educational workshops in collaboration with partner organisations.

The cloud pavilion is an ongoing project, and the responsible non-profit is working on improvement of technical content and on creative concepts of future actions as well.
