Visual AIDS strives to increase public awareness of AIDS through the visual arts, creating programs of exhibitions, events, publications and Broadsides. They work in partnership with artists, galleries, museums and AIDS organizations. Visual AIDS also assist artists living with HIV/AIDS through the Frank Moore Archive Project.
The Visual AIDS "Broadsides" are artist-designed projects that promote safer sex, harm reduction, HIV prevention and AIDS awareness; targeting our diverse communities.
Artists projects include posters, stickers, postcards, buttons, balloons, and tote bags. All are free and many are downloadable.
Artists have included Nayland Blake, Chris Johanson, Neil Farber, Noah Lyon, Amy Jean Porter, Michael Mitchell, John Chaich, William Powhida, Carrie Moyer, Lou Laurita, Barbara Kruger, Glen Ligonn and others.
